"Three Blind Mice" may be a stripped-down version of "Calypso Frelimo" (it's in the same key). It was played at Paul's Mall in July 1974.

While Davis was recovering from throat surgery, Sonny Fortune formed his own group. Davis replaced him with Sam Morrison, probably in late April. The re-formed Septet got back on the road, but Davis's health continued to deteriorate: Paul's Mall, Boston (April 28-May 3); Just Jazz, Philadelphia (May 12-17); Oakland University, Rochester MI (May 24); Bottom Line Club, New York (June 10-12); Avery Fisher Hall, New York (July 1); Central Park, New York (September 5).
