1 Introduction 1:17

"And right now, ladies and gentlemen, we'd like to introduce to you individually the great Tadd Dameron organization. First, the gentleman who's had so much to do with modern jazz, on piano, Tadd Dameron -- let's give Tadd a wonderful hand... One of the outstanding trumpet men of our time, our wonderful friend Fats Navarro... And a gentleman that I know everybody loves to hear, on tenor, Allen Eager... On bass we have Curley Russell -- give Curley a hand, and... on drums, Kenny Clarke... And our, and, I know a lot of you folks out there who've been diggin' the all-night, all-frantic one for many years remember the Savoy Sultans -- if you remember the Savoy Sultans, you also remember a wonderful young gentleman, a cat who plays a lot of alto, our friend, our wonderful friend... the wonderful and sensational Rudy Williams, ladies and gentlemen. And I know that you remember the records that they made, things like 'Frantic' and, uh, 'The Savoy Jump' and things like that. And to start things jumpin', Tadd Dameron, how 'bout a little bit of, uh, 'The Tadd Walk'?"
