Parker was in Detroit with JATP and had played earlier this night at the Masonic Auditorium. A few days later he returned to New York and began a six-week engagement at The Three Deuces. This item will eventually be released by Uptown Records on a CD entitled Detroit Jazz Before Motown, 1945-53.
