The Davis Septet was busy throughout the summer: Fillmore East, New York (June 17-20); Hampton Roads Coliseum (July 3); Central Park, New York (July 6); Hollywood Bowl (July 10); Randall's Island, New York (July 18); Madison Square Garden, New York (July 25); SUNY Stony Brook (August 16); Berkshire Music Center, Tanglewood (August 18). The Isle of Wight Festival (August 29) must have been something of a climax for the group, although they apparently continued playing in Europe before returning to the U.S. in September. The group performed, along with Osmosis, at the Boston Tea Party on Sunday, September 13. Other performances include: Seattle Center Arena (October 4); Royce Hall, UCLA (October 10); Zellerbach Auditorium, UC-Berkeley (October 14).

The Eagle Eye DVD is an excellent documentary about Davis' electric music, with the focus on the 1970 Isle of Wight performance. In addition to the complete performance by the Davis Sextet it includes interviews with all of the musicians in the band, as well as with Herbie Hancock, James Mtume Forman, Pete Cosey, and others.

The "Call it Anything" on C2K 65058 has an 0:20 interview appended to the beginning of the Davis medley. The duration of the music and applause is 14:36.

Thanks to Pat Buzby and Ron Fritts for help with Davis' itinerary.
