Recorded at the 10th Deutsches Jazzfestival Frankfurt by Hessischer Rundfunk. This performance takes place two months before Brötzmann's epochal Machine Gun LP (Brö 2 / FMP 0090). This live version of "Machine Gun" was released on the Atavistic CD Fuck De Boere (Atavistic UMS/ALP 211CD), and is also included on The Complete Machine Gun Sessions (Atavistic UMS/ALP 262CD).
