Walt Dickerson Records

Walter Roland Dickerson died of a heart attack on May 15, 2008. He was 80 years old.

As far as I know, these are all the commercially-released recordings by Walt Dickerson. Many of these records, including all of those on the New Jazz and SteepleChase labels, have been reissued on CD. Some of the SteepleChase CDs include material not issued on the original LPs. Dickerson apparently also participated in recording sessions at Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen on December 20, 1978 and August 8, 1979. In both cases the engineer was Freddie Enok Hansson. Beyond this I don't know the details, e.g. what tunes were performed or who else was involved. Also, there are a few unissued private recordings I know about (e.g. January 12, 1965 in Hilversum and October 10, 1978 at Jazzhus Montmartre).
