Parker does not play on this session, but I've listed it because this item is included on a recent Philology CD-R. As Sid Torin's introduction makes clear, it's Ernie Henry with the Gillespie band, from a Roost broadcast from October 1948. Henry has a nice solo (0:45-2:00), followed by a wailing Gillespie solo, a nice piano-with-conga chorus, then the closing theme. Thanks to Jay Becker, Marcel Gärtner, and James Accardi for help with this session.
