Two concerts were scheduled on this date. According to the newspaper La Vanguardia (November 15, 1973)
The afternoon session had to be suspended because the truck carrying the instruments and the sound amplification equipment
had been detained at the border, because the driver of the same did not have his driving license in order. That same
afternoon, the truck carrying the material of B.B. King and his musicians crossed the border, without any difficulty.
The most regrettable thing is that Mr. Davis did not want to perform with the instruments and equipment that the organizers
made available to him to save the afternoon session, and he did do it at night due to the threat of not receiving the
contracted "cachet."
The Davis Septet took part in the "Newport Jazz Festival in Europe" tour produced
by George Wein. The itinerary was as follows:

to José María Creus for the information from La Vanguardia.
