"That's Right" is listed in the Columbia files as "Slow Blues in 3." The synth on "That's Right" was later overdubbed on September 16.

According to John Szwed, on "Code M.D." Davis "used a muted alternate take of himself behind his own open trumpet solo to expand the sound" (So What: The Life of Miles Davis, p. 362).

Gil Evans was present in the studio on this date, and he is credited on the cover for the arrangement for "That's Right." The arrangement was really done by Irving, but he wanted Evans to have the credit "as a way of thanking him" (quoted in Paul Tingen, Miles Beyond: The Electric Explorations of Miles Davis, 1967-1991, p. 216).
